Xbox 360 is Progressing Out to Some Now, Others Have to Wait

Good news for Xbox users by Major Nelson who confirmed on Twitter today that the Xbox 360 dashboard is about ready for download, is rolling out to "a few" users this week, and others will have to wait according to him. He added that presumably “the system updated contains behind the scenes improvements & prep for future enhancements” include many of the new features we saw at E3 last week, but there's still no official word as to when they'll actually roll out.

Some new features are:
  • Users can send media as per their comfort to any tablet or Smartphone to continue watching videos, playing games and more.
  • Have Kinect voice or SmartGlass commands to control your controls
  • Enjoy Xbox Music across Xbox 360 systems, Windows 8 PCs, tablets and Smartphone’s.

WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 Recreated Street Fighter Characters

Street Fighter's recreated many of characters at WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 & game has wonderful detail of players. Plus, "Jimmy went the extra mile and gave each of the fighters correct wrestling moves."

Because of how good quality these characters look, it's somewhat strange to see them with such real like animation. Instead of sacking off chi and attacking each other with hundred-hand slaps, they're shown attractive in various behaviors associated with the members of World Wrestling Entertainment.

Jimmy might be one of their weirdest and coolest usages yet. He's recreated many of Street Fighter's characters in the wrestling game, and it's quite a sight to see the iconic figures act like Macho Man Randy Savage. All told, he created more than 20 Street Fighter characters using the SvR 2011 character creator, and they're just about perfect. I never thought I'd seen Akuma and Gouken or Ryu and Sagat hash out their differences in the wrestling ring, but that's exactly what's happening here.

Xbox Live Subscription Price Will Increase in November

Major Nelson has confirmed that from Nov. 1, Microsoft will raise the Xbox Live U.S. price of a 1-month subscription to $9.99 (from $7.99), a 3-month subscription to $24.99 (from $19.99) and a 12-months subscription to $59.99 (from $49.99).

This means consumers will be paying 20 - 25% more for the subscriptions, depending on the length. Here are few reasons, why the cost is increasing:
A Microsoft spokesman justified the price increases by pointing to new content and services the company has added to Xbox Live over the past few years, including Facebook, Twitter, the Last.fm radio service and, in the fall, live and recorded sports events from ESPN.

Modern Warfare 2 - Sold 1.2 Million Copies in 1 Day in 1 Country

Modern Warfare IIThis would give you an idea of what to expect during next month's NPD figures, right. It's been announced that in the first 24 hours on sale, Modern Warfare 2 sold 1.2 million units in the United Kingdom.

Seeing as almost any other game on the planet would take 1.2 million as a great worldwide figure for a month, for Modern Warfare II.

Nintendo DSi with larger screens coming this year for Japan?

The Nintendo DSi in its current form is just about to round its first Japanese birthday on coming November 1st, and if Nikkei has anything to say about it, the two-screener's all set for an oncoming growth spurt.

Nintendo DSi with larger screens for JapanAccording to a report from the publication, who has a good track record on Nintendo reports thus far, a new DSi with 4-inch screens (versus 3.25 currently) is coming to the land of the rising sun sometime before this year's out.

No other spec differences, the report claims this was in response to older gamers having trouble seeing the action. It'll replace the current model and retail for the same price i.e. ¥18,900 (US $205.50).

Nintendo Wii Price will be $199 this Sunday

Nintendo Wii Price at $199Rumours that the Wii will drop $50 on 27 Sep'09 are looking confirmed. An internal memo from an anonymous Best Buy tipster backs-up the claim, and says Nintendo will make things official this Friday.

When you think about, it's amazing that the Wii has motored along for three years at $250. But it's clear that Nintendo has to do something. The 120GB PS3 Slim is $300, the 120GB Xbox 360 Elite is $250 with rebates, and 250GB bundles for both are strongly rumored to be around the corner. Check out the confirmation.

I hope many of you now thinking of buying the cheap Wii game, don't you?

PS3 new 3D mode coming in 2010 to all existing games

PS3 new 3D mode coming in 2010 to all existing gamesA video of Wipeout HD being played in 3D, with some schmuck wearing 3D glasses and babbling on about how much fun he's having. Especially for something like Wipeout HD, whose neon-infused tracks make for an almost too convenient example of rapidly approaching vanishing points, we'd say 3D could really be a quasi-"killer app" for consoles going forward -- especially if those fancy new motion controllers don't catch on for Microsoft and Sony.

In many ways, 3D just seems to make more sense in a video game than for a movie, and the whole problem of finding content to deliver in the format has already been solved: a software update for the PS3 sometime in 2010 will enable it to provide a 3D viewing experience to "all" existing games on the system. We're sure there will be some exceptions, but it sounds very promising. The console itself pumps out a quite regular signal over HDMI, which the TV syncs up with your 3D glasses. A 200Hz TV, for instance, alternates 1080p frames, with 100Hz for each eye.

Gaming Mouse by Razer Naga

Razer Naga Gaming MouseRazer introduces the Naga Gaming Mouse gadget which was designed specially for MMO games. The Razer Gaming Mouse is designed to enhance your ability to control your character with 17 MMO optimized buttons so you can programmed different game commands to each button. Aside from the keypad, the Naga looks like a wired version of the Razer Mamba from earlier this year. Like the Mamba, the Naga has all of the speeds and feeds common to high-end gaming mice, including a 5,600 dpi laser sensor and 1,000MHz polling rate. You won't really need those high-precision settings to master the assisted targeting and timed-attack mechanics in a MMO, but it's hard to find a gaming mouse these days without such crazy settings, so you might as well have them.

Razer also boasts in-game configuration add-ons for World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online for the Naga, which will hopefully simplify mapping the various key commands.

Naga is reasonably comfortable and intuitive to use we can see how it might appeal to other gamers, digital media artists, or users of any other hot key-heavy software. Razer lists the Naga for $79.99 on its Web site and says it will be available online "soon".
